Darknest purposefully obstructs users from knowing about Blizzards policy changes
Hello,
I recently tried to inform the ERP community on Darknest of the change in
Blizzard's policy as of September of this year. As has been noted, several ERP guilds have been disbanded and ERP as a whole is not as tolerated as it once was.
My post on the darknest forums was to note this and that some people had put up private servers to support their ERP communities.
I also mentioned that there were several legal issues and that it might be best if the groups ceased their ERP activities on Blizzard's servers, at least for the mean time.
After waiting a while, and checking to make sure that I did not break any rules of the forum, I noticed that my post was not going to be put up. So, I asked in the help forum, the only place I knew to ask after reading the forum descritption and rules, if in fact it would be posted, if not what I could do to change it so it would be posted.
The only responce from Darknest was the following post from "nsq" who, after responding to my post, locked the thread so that it could not be posted to again.
Here is what "nsq" had to say:

Your thread was deleted, and there is no way you could change it to make it
acceptable. We do not discuss management issues in public.
So, I replied back and informed them that their response was rude, childish and unacceptable, and that they were doing a great disservice to the community that they puported to support by not allowing their membership to even know about the changes, have any conversations about it, or even hint at it.
In short, Darknest is keeping its membership, in the dark. I am sure there will
be a lot of ERP'ers that will be unhappy to learn that, had they known, their
account did not have to be locked or deleted, and their guild disbanded.
Thanks,
Dayven

About ERP thingie:
Is this about another forum or whats this?...
Edit: And the other forum is probably just like this one when it comes to rules... Freedom of speech does not apply automaticly. If you dont like it, you are free to create your own forum and invite whoever you want. Harsh, but the truth.
About the Blizzard policy change:
Blizzard doesnt read your guild chat if they dont suspect anything.. Learn to keep quiet if you think you might be breaking their rules. If you want to have your fun in the guild, its perfectly doable, just keep it to yourself and you wont get reported.
Unless you want to be martyrs in an online game?
And tbh i can understand (some of the way) that Blizzard is being paranoid over issues dealing with sexuality since theyre a US based company.

ERP? Would you be referring to Erotic Role Playing?
So, you got banned on another forum based on the context of Blizzard's policies towards your activities within their game, and so you are posting here to express your frustration at both Blizzard's rules and the rules of your prior forum?
...I'm...outraged?

I would guess that ERP= Erotic Role Playing.
I don't think you're going to find a lot of sympathy for your cause here. Blizzard's pretty clear about what is and what is not acceptable behavior on the servers they own. What you do on your own time and using your own methods of communication are your business, but Blizzard doesn't want to facilitate it. Their servers, their right.
